I have started the very beginning seeds of a web-based index to articles from the Talladega Daily Home, a newspaper published in Talladega, Alabama where my husband has roots. I’ve only done a few issues so far (from the 1960s), but I hope over the next few years to gradually increase what I can transcribe. I decided to put it online in hopes that it will be of use to someone else.

I ran up on your website and I was born in Talladega, Alabama.
My daddy and grandmother and some other relatives are buried there.
I was wondering how I would go about finding an old obituary from Talladega, as I would love to have a copy of my daddy’s obituary from Talladega.
His name was Farrell H. Gilliam and he passed away on May 4, 1960.
Can you please tell me how I can get a copy of his obituary.
